Short but Sweet

Have you read Andrea’s post today, she asked her daughters to write down what they thought she and her husband were good at.  A cute insight on what her children thought.

Today I had to go pick S up from school at lunch as she was complaining of a back ache.  What bugs me about this back ache is I know exactly where she got it because she had it once before.  Yesterday she went to a birthday party at a trampoline place.  I think she tenses up her muscles so bad when they do whatever tricks they do with the kids that her back hurts the next day.  Same thing happened the last time she went to a birthday party at the same place.  So I told her and my husband no more going to these birthday parties that are held there.  Same with the places that have those bouncy castles, another one of my pet peeves.

So since she is home this afternoon I decided to ask her to write down what she thought J and I were good at.  First she said why?  Then she said how long does it have to be.  Then she said that she doesn’t see me all day as she’s in school so she doesn’t know what I do.  Then she said okay she had some ideas.  Here they are:

What Mom & Dad are good at: (S at age 6 1/2) in her own writing.

Dad is good at cooking and baking

Mom is good at being a mother

Dad is good at clening up the house

Mom is good taking care of L and me

L is good at being a bum bum ( she had to write something about her brother)

I am good at being a big sister.
